Pre-Academy Teams Advance to Semi Finals in Disney

The Chicago Blast U-14 and U13 Pre Academy teams played very effective soccer throughout the entire Disney’s Wide World of Sports Junior Showcase over Thanksgiving weekend. Both teams fought hard to qualify for the semi finals, but nobody fought harder than our U14 team. The U14 Pre Academy boys have come a long way since the beginning of the season playing its best soccer so far this year in Disney.

Proud to Wear New Training Kits

Starting back in August the team was made up of individual talent; however in most recent weeks there were visual signs of individual talent becoming team oriented. The 2014 Disney Tournament was the most competitive in the history of the tournament having all three brackets filled with high level teams and strong competition.

Every game was exciting and a nail biter to the end. Outstanding team effort allowed both teams to qualify for the medal round.

Congratulations to all the players, parents and team administrators from the U13 and U14 teams.

U14 and U13 teams Prepared Well

Preparation was excellent. In weeks leading up to the tournament both the U14 and U13 teams trained hard tactically and physically to prepare for the tournament. Both the U13 and U14 teams earned to respect from opponents, referees, and the tournament committee on their performance, sportsmanship and style of play.

Congratulations to the U13 Team

Having to play without several key players, the U13 Pre Academy team adjusted quickly and was very impressive in their performance. They were tactically effective in several areas, specifically in defending space and transitioning at speed. In addition to having success on the field, the U13 boys were outstanding in welcoming four Florida Blast players and their families into the Chicago Blast Soccer Club family. The four boys from Amelia Island, Florida proved to be excellent teammates and provided outstanding team effort throughout the tournament.

Making new friends, fun, great weather, and taking home medals made the weekend very special for the players. Both teams made significant strides from last years’ Disney tournament.
