CHICAGO BLAST / SMIA UPDATE JUNE 2015
Message from Coach Aleks
First of all let me congratulate the U-14 Pre Academy Team for winning first place in the Premier Division. This is a very special accomplishment specially knowing how hard all the players have worked and how far they have come individually and as a team.
To each player, “I am very proud of each and every one of you.”
There is definitely a positive buzz in the community with regards to the Chicago Blast Soccer Club. For the past several years the club has been consistently elevating and improving key areas; philosophy, coaching, style of play, and player development. These have been and will always be main considerations for our club.
I would like to take a moment and welcome all the returning and new families who have committed to our Club. I also want to thank the current players and families who have helped spread the word about the Chicago Blast Soccer Club. I believe our families have a good understanding that new players simply provide more playing opportunities
To all the new players and families, you will find that we have fantastic families in the club who are very welcoming and willing to help out. I am personally very proud of the current families and players in the Chicago Blast Soccer Club.
Our team administrators give an enormous amount of time in properly managing our teams. Please recognize this and at some point thank your team administrator for all the work they have provided to each and every one of us. Our direction on administrating the teams is far from complete but headed in the right direction.
Coaching education is constant in our Club. Our coaches have developed a good understanding for player development. From a coaching perspective, Milos and I have put significant time in making the Club special where every player can be impacted and improved. My vision to the direction of coaching is far from being completed, but we are definitely heading in the right direction.
There are many reasons what makes the Chicago Blast Soccer Club special; player development, playing opportunities, tournaments, and fun. The club also has a very strong camp program in place focused on impacting individual technical elevation.
Prevention of injuries is one area that often gets taken for granted. As a Club, Blast players don’t experience many injuries. The club takes serious considerations in properly preparing players for contact and preparation by teaching how to avoid injuries. We also ensure players do not enter play again following an injury until they are ready.
We have many reasons to be proud of the 2014-15 season. All the preparation began during the summer training camps and team camps. The success and efforts began to pay off in Schaumburg, Disney, Philadelphia, Champaign, and of course during the indoor and outdoor league play. The Club has won a significant number of tournaments and league titles this year. However, the biggest success is not measured only in wins and losses but how much our teams and players have improved since last August. Individually and collectively all of our players have elevated their skills and understanding of the game. This is a club with a solid philosophy and vision that has a positive impact on every child in the club.
