Soccer Made in America

Soccer Made in America and Chicago Blast Soccer Club are proud to announce that Djordje Mihailovic has decided to accept a four year contract with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club for the upcoming 2017 season.1

. One of the top 2017 Colligate recruits in the country.

. Recognized as the top transitional midfielder in the nation in the 2017 class, and known for high soccer IQ, playmaking abilities, and goal scoring skills.

. Consistent member of the US National Team program for the past three years.

With tremendous consideration, the talented midfielder decided to decline a full scholarship from the University of North Carolina in order to sign a MLS contract with the Chicago Fire. As difficult a decision as it may be for the family, it was a very easy and a natural choice to make for Djordje. In addition to the contract, Chicago Fire has provided his education through Southern New Hampshire University, an
on-line college opportunity provided by MLS, creating less time for video games after training and more time for schoolwork.

The recent 18 year old is once again recalled to the U-19 National Team for the 2017 February Training Camp.  He is currently in preseason camp with the Chicago Fire in Florida but will be heading off to the National Team Camp February 9th also taking place in Florida. He will rejoin the Chicago Fire preseason camp one week later.

Djordje is very excited about the opportunity to learn from and compete with new signings  Juninho, Nikolic, Dax, McCarty, and the entire coaching staff/administration, making it a tremendous mentoring opportunity for his overall development. He is also very excited to rejoin all the 1st Team teammates from last season who he trained with throughout the 2016 season. Djordje is very grateful to the Chicago Blast Soccer Club, US National Team, Soccer Made in America, and the Chicago Fire  Soccer Club for all the preparation and experience he has gained.
